With over forty years as a locally owned family business, C.C. Automotive Repair was founded in 1981 by Charles Cillitto. Charlie was born in 1950 in Morgantown, West Virginia. At the age of 7, his family moved to Tucson, Arizona to improve some health issues that young Charlie was struggling with. Along with his two brothers, Cecil and John, Charlie attended Amphi High School, and graduated in 1968. Having a passion for cars, he found himself working at a local auto parts store just out of high school. As he learned more about automotive mechanics, he would take up small jobs repairing cars for his family and friends. Years later, having a family with two small boys, Charlie was laid off from his job from a local mine. To support his family, he began to repair cars out of his own home with a single car garage. In no time, Charlie’s neighborhood street was lined with cars needing repair, allowing for him to earn a living doing what he enjoyed, even at the cost of unhappy neighbors.
In 1981, Charlie was presented with the opportunity to open his own repair shop at 25 E Blacklidge. Four years later, the business of C.C. Automotive had grown large enough to move to a more spacious location. Charlie purchased the lot at 3101 N. Stone Ave which is where the business still thrives from today.
Although too soon, after many years as a popular mechanic and successful business owner, Charlie passed away on April 6, 2016. Now, with Charlie’s family keeping the C.C. legacy, Tony, his youngest son maintains the automotive repair shop with the support of his Uncle John. Together they continue to uphold Charlie’s business standards, by putting customers first and fixing cars the right way!

I have brought my car here twice for a diagnostic and every time, Tony has been ethical and honest. He runs his shop right and I can’t speak highly enough about his knowledge and passion for what he does. Being new to Tucson, I’m grateful to have found a reliable mechanic!

These guys are awesome! Very smart people. Super friendly and good humor. I got a pre-purchase inspection done and they were able to fit me in the day I called plus got it done within the hour of dropping it off. They even called me to come back to the shop so I could watch the inspection and go over everything/ gain some more knowledge about what I might be purchasing. They knew exactly what to look for. They even told me different routes to go with replacing some things like upgrades that might be worth it since I’m going to need them replaced anyway. They went over the pricing of everything and didn’t try to force sell me anything just simply informed me and guided me in the right direction. I would bring my car back if I lived closer! They also speak Spanish if English isn’t your first language. Thank you CC Automotive!!

Awesome service! They know their stuff and are honest and able to fix things without high dealership prices. They may not have a fancy waiting room with snacks and drinks but they don’t overcharge and work you in quickly when it is a safety issue! They even noticed an issue with my brakes when I brought it by for an oil change. Very happy with their service and will be returning to them even though it is out of my way.
