Ever wonder the meaning behind a company’s name? Maybe you have seen the trucks around Tucson with the big green Dinosaur on the side? Dinosaur Plumbing is locally owned and operated by Bobby Scirica. The reason he chose his company name, dates back to his childhood. Bobby, just like most young boys, grew up playing video games. His favorite was Mario Brothers. Of course we know that Mario and Luigi were plumbers in the video game. Bobby not only played the game, he also had the toys to go with it. He would play “plumber” and stuff his toy Yoshi (the dinosaur in Mario Brothers) down his toilet. Bobby’s parents on many occasions had to call an actual plumber to come retrieve the toys Bobby put down the toilet and fix the drains. Bobby’s mother use to always say “you need to become a plumber after all the money you cost us calling one!”. When Bobby grew up and actually decided that he wanted to start his own business, he chose to become a plumbing contractor. He decided the perfect name for his business would be Dinosaur Plumbing after the toy dinosaur, Yoshi, on Mario Brothers.
